Treatments - Bio Skin Jetting

Outline

For some people the idea of injecting a “substance” can outweigh the attractions of Botox and fillers especially in such a sensitive area as the face. However, there are now effective alternatives which overcome these reservations. In January 2005 I introduced a treatment called Bio Skin Jetting (BSJ) which is a technique used to reactivate the body’s own collagen production – it is now well proven at Elite Beauty Care having produced real and sustained improvements for many clients. I offer both Botox and BSJ so that clients have a choice – whilst I can advise and recommend, at the end of the day it is the client’s decision. In summary the ongoing costs of BSJ are less than Botox but it takes a little longer to produce results. The Bio Skin Jetting technique was developed in the late nineties in Belgium and was introduced into the UK by Sterex around 2003 - there are now over one hundred trained specialists in the UK.

Under the general heading there are two related procedures:-

  • Bio Skin Jetting – for lines & wrinkles where collagen is still active
  • Bio Skin Smoothing – for lines & wrinkles where collagen can no longer regenerate

Both procedures can be safely carried out on any of these areas:-

  • Forehead (frown lines)
  • Eyes (crows feet)
  • Naso labial/mouth (laughter lines)

Bio Skin Jetting

The jetting procedure involves a trained therapist inserting a fine probe into the line itself beneath the surface of the skin. Using a series of carefully applied movements the collagen is reactivated – this is evidenced by a fine red line which appears under the skin. This will last for several days but is easily camouflaged using a proprietary make up cream. Normally a course of treatment involves 3 to 5 sessions of 30/45 minutes – depending on the extent of the lines/wrinkles. All procedures are carried out using a local anaesthetic cream. The effects of BSJ last up to 12 months without the need for maintenance – thereafter a 6 monthly “top up” is usual.

Bio Skin Smoothing

The smoothing procedure is applied on the surface of the skin again to activate the underlying collagen – the same sort of frequency of treatment is required. The treatment involves the application of a small wand or roller to the treatment area – this is pain free and does not require the use of anaesthetic cream. Smoothing can be applied to deep lines where self regeneration is no longer proving possible.

Client’s Experience

"BSJ is a more natural process of slowing down the ageing process. It is truly amazing how quickly wrinkles become less defined and the plumpness of the skin returns. I felt sure I needed Botox but after a consultation with Anne I decided to give it a try and I have been extremely pleased with the results” Lin Holbrook - 18th January 2008
