Having spent my working life involved with beauty therapy I recognised a long time ago the importance of a good moisturiser and nutrients for basic skin care. Several years ago I was introduced to the Environ range which I used myself to begin with and then gradually introduced it to clients as part of a beauty regime. Environ was first developed in the mid 1990’s by a South African plastic surgeon, Desmond Fernandez who recognised the benefits of increased usage of vitamins in skin treatments as a means of counter acting the effects of our increasingly harmful environment. Built on the success of this approach there is now a comprehensive range of products available - as a cosmeceutical they should only be applied under the direction of a trained therapist or medical practitioner. Price wise the Environ range offers excellent value for money compared with some it’s competitors. The following are just a few of the more popular products :-
Environ Original
A range of light non greasy products containing various vitamins which combat free radicals and provide protection from the effect of ultra violet radiation – it is a progressive treatment which allows vitamin levels to be increased as required.
Interactive range
These products do not contain vitamin A or C – they are to be used in conjunction with other Environ products as a preparatory treatment – e.g. cleansing cream , cleansing gel and super moisturiser.
Ionzyme range
One of the most advanced skin care systems available – the formulation includes accelerated levels of Vitamin C – the C-quence eye gel is particularly popular for the delicate and sensitive areas around the eyes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Sun Care range
RAD contains most important antioxidants normally found in the skin i.e. vitamins E & C but no vitamin A and beta-caratene – provides sun screen from UVA and UVB up to an SPF16. Suitable for all skin types and ages.
B-active range
Contains a series of products aimed troublesome skin conditions such as acne and greasy skin - uses Australian tea tree for antiseptic properties to help control bacteria and inflammation associated with these skin conditions. Effective for cleansing and balancing the skin.
